Creativity and Tactics:
Where to build pressure? Which finger to use to reach next? Increase your ability to understand a route in order to climb it better and reach the summit.
Only 3 Fingers:
Only three fingers are allowed to touch the boulder ball.
Projecting
: Try, fail, change your strategy. Just like in climbing, find the moves that work best for you.
Concentration and Focus:
The route needs to be studied and learned carefully in order to climb it in one go later.
Routes:
The routes are climbed once up and back down.
Levels:
Different difficulty levels provide variety and challenge.
Develop your strengths for ascending and descending.
Climbing isn't just about strength, sweat, and muscles, but also…
How it all began – From idea to ball
Dieter, a sports scientist and passionate climber , had a clear vision:
a training device that would challenge finger strength, coordination, and concentration – playfully, anywhere, and without a climbing wall.
He discussed it with Joachim – a mental coach, tennis coach, and creative mind.
A few weeks later, while chopping small logs, Joachim suddenly had an epiphany:
"What if you climbed around a ball – with your fingers, hold by hold?"
He told Dieter about his idea – and that's how the development of the Boulderball began.
