Fixed Alien X Micro Cam

The  Alien X  is the sixth generation of the Micro Cam, first patented in Colorado, USA, in 1986. This new Friend stays true to the original's heritage, but impresses with improved design and enhanced performance.

Available in six sizes, the Alien X impresses with the following improvements:

• Clamping jaws with X-Grip texture : Better grip of the clamping jaws during the first uses.
• Three multi-purpose sizes : Three large versions (3/4 yellow, 7/8 grey and 1 red) serve as passive clamping devices.
• Reduced size and ergonomic lever : The redesigned lever makes the Alien X a quick and easy-to-use micro cam that is simple to install and remove. It's also easy to operate with gloves, featuring an additional 3 mm of travel between the lever and the clamping jaws.
• Solid and compact construction : Metal pin and durable rivet connection ensure a compact, homogeneous design that reliably holds this Micro Cam in the wall.

THE CONNECTION WITH THE ORIGIN

The Alien X remains true to the character of the original patent:

• Lightweight and handy : Less weight and more space on the climbing harness.
• Intelligent design : The geometry of the pull lever remains convincing.
• Flexible design : Absorbs the forces acting via the rope and ensures a secure fit of the clamping jaws.
• Colors and sizes : Color scheme according to the climbing topos of the last 30 years.

Size specifications:  Expansion range from 20.3 mm (0.80 in) to 33.4 mm (1.31 in).
